Parkes have finished joint winners in Division 1 of the 'Masters in the Bush' hockey carnival in Dubbo.

Parkes played outstanding hockey all weekend in their six games finishing undefeated at the end of their campaign.
In their first match on Friday evening, Parkes defeated Dubbo 2-1 with goals to Teegan Rodgers and Sue McGrath.
On Saturday, Parkes drew 1-1 with Almighty Industries (Teegan Rodgers), defeated Helz Gels 2-0 (Denise Gersbach, Teegan Rodgers) and defeated Buzzards 1-0 (Naomi Spark).
Parkes finished first in their division, earning themselves a spot in the 1 v 4 semi final.
Parkes once again defeated Buzzards 1-0 (Naomi Spark) to progress to the final where they met the tough Almighty Industries side once again.
In an exciting final, Parkes claimed the joint victory when they scored the final goal with 30 seconds remaining in the match.
Goals in the final were scored by Sue McGrath and Denise Gersbach.
It was an impressive team performance with six very competitive games of hockey with players from all over NSW and the ACT competing over the weekend.
NSW Masters State Championships will be held in Wagga from July 23 - 25, with Parkes likely to send a number of teams across several age ranges.
Nationals are set to take place in September.
