Police tackle alleged car thief

Police have made an arrest in Parkes after a car was stolen from Forbes last Wednesday night.

Officers arrested a 19-year-old male, who allegedly crashed the car near the Parkes skate park and fled on foot.

He was tackled to the ground outside the units in Welcome Street and arrested.

Meanwhile the Central West Police District is appealing to members of the public for information about the whereabouts of a stolen vehicle from Orange.

A 2017 White Ford Ranger Utility NSW with the registration ESF-12E was stolen from an address in Orange between 6.30pm on 17 February and 3pm on 18 February.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Orange Police on 6363 6399 or alternatively, information can be given to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.

When bus lights flash it means the bus is picking up or dropping off school children and you must slow down to 40km/h, unless another lesser speed limit applies.
