Parkes Public School welcomed 65 kindergarten students to the school on Thursday, February 6.

The school welcomed the most kindergarten students out of the five Parkes schools who cater for kindergarten.

Kindy students were excited to finally use their backpacks which they would have received over the holidays and finally wear their new uniforms and hats.

There were a few tears but they quickly turned into big smiles ready to take on primary school.
