ABBA Festival draws thousands of dancing queens to Trundle

Early rain couldn't deter thousands of Super Troupers from taking all roads - and rail - to Trundle for the 2024 ABBA Festival.

Festival manager Joel Ulbricht said the drizzle didn't scare off a crowd of some 2200.

"With Bjorn Again headlining, the festival was bound to be a stellar success," he said.

"The shock surprise came just after 5pm when the energy took a hundred-fold increase as Furnace and The Fundamentals hit the stage for 90 minutes of electricity. Overall, the event was a great day for the Trundle community."

The ABBA Festival rounded out a fabulous trilogy of musical events for the shire: beginning with the Carnival of Cups and Cheers to 30 years of Northparkes.

Even better, we won the weather lottery for all of them, along with Homegrown Parkes, to create some great memories for the whole community.
