The Parkes Boars Rugby Union Club's season launch will now be held on 22 March with its men’s first grade team in a trial match against the Geurie Goats at 3.30pm at Spicer Oval.

Are you interested in upcycled projects? If you are then this workshop is for you. Elly Tom will focus on how we can upcycle our wardrobe, with a focus on upcycling t-shirts to make bags and yarn. Bring along a favourite t-shirt you no longer wear and turn it into a bag. There will also be t-shirts available for you to make bags and cotton yarn suitable for knitting, using in the garden etc. Participants are also welcome to bring along a garment they cannot part with, and Elly can talk about how you can re-purpose it or change the size. No sewing machine skills necessary and sewing machines are provided. The workshop is suitable for all ages from eight years and up. RED BEND OPEN DAY

Markets, music, crop swap, performances and demonstrations in Cooke Park - it's all homegrown in Parkes and it's a great family day out.
SPACEMEN LAUNCH AND WORKING BEE

Lock in the 29 March for the season launch of the Parkes Spacemen Rugby League Club. Start the morning by heading up to Pioneer Oval to lend a hand to get the grounds ready for the season ahead. There will be plenty of jobs to do, many hands make light work. Then freshen-up and head down to the Coachman Hotel for the Spaceman season launch. First try scorer jersey auction will be the feature event of the night. All sponsors and supporters are invited to join.
NATIONAL CORVETTE CONVENTION

The National Corvette Convention is roaring back to life in 2025 and is headed out Parkes. On Saturday morning corvettes will line the main street as they show off their cars on the way out to the Parkes Showground. At the showground the Corvettes will be parked up for the day for all to see at their Show 'n' Shine. Don't miss out on seeing these Corvettes from all over Australia.
ADAVALE LANE BUSH DANCE AND DINNER

Adavale Lane Community Hall will be hosting a Bush Dance and Dinner on 29 March from 6pm. Kick up your heels, put on your boots and bring the family along. PROJECT GOOBANG PREMIERE

WASTE 2 ART LAUNCH AND WORKSHOP

The Parkes Shire Waste 2 Art Exhibition and Competition is back starting with its launch on Saturday, 5 April at the Parkes Shire Library and Cultural Centre from 10.30am-1pm. Waste 2 Art is an inspiring initiative that challenges individuals, schools, and communities to rethink waste by transforming discarded materials into works of art. Bill Tink from NetWaste will explore all things Waste 2 Art in his talk with a focus on this year’s theme waste – Toys. Bill will cover topics like recycling, wish-cycling, and the many waste issues we face, especially in relation to toys. This will be followed by an amazing workshop with Orange artist Jac Davies. EUGOWRA BOOTS AND BOWTIES BALL

This is a fundraiser ball not to be missed presented by the Eugowra Public School P and C at the Eugowra Showground Pavilion. Think hay bales, festoon lights, warm tones, plenty of seating and the beautiful country night air.
