ADULT SURVIVORS OF CHILD ABUSE

The Adult Survivors of Child Abuse - Cowra Support Group meets on the 1st Friday of each month from 12:30 to 14:30 and is open to survivors of all communities. All details are available online via: recover.itmatters.com.au. Alternatively, call Pascale, the facilitator, on 0458 698 460.

CROP SWAP

Saturday, February 8

Crop Swap is back for 2025, in the Library Courtyard at 10am on Saturday, February 8. It's a great way for those who grow their own food to make sure nothing is going to waste. If you have an over-abundance of particular fruits or vegetables in the garden, preserves or homemade goods - they are all welcome! Swap excess produce and fairly barter with like-minded people for fresh, local and delicious goods.

BROOCH SITCHING WORKSHOP

Friday, February 14

At the Marramarra Makerspace, create a beautiful brooch using naturally dyed and thrifted fabrics under the guidance of Blue Mountains artist, Pippita Bennett. Pippita Bennett will be running two workshops on the day with one from 3pm to 5pm with the other starting at 6pm and running until 8pm. Make sure to book your place via Humanitix. HEY SIS PROJECT GALENTINE'S DAY

Grab your girls and come celebrate Galentine's Day with They Hey Sis Project. From 2:30 to 4:30pm at the Rose Street Community Centre join in on an afternoon of fun, laughs and love. RSVP to The Hey Sis Project by February 10. The event is $10 per person.

150TH ANNIVERSARY

The Anglican Ministry is celebrating 150 years in Parkes this year with some exciting events planned over three days in February. Stay tuned, more details on this massive milestone for the Anglican Church coming soon.

Country Sounds returns in February! Robbie Mortimer, Tyla Rodrigues, Baeden Faint and Gracey Jones will be rocking the Cooke Park Stage. CHARITY WRESTLING SUPERSHOW

Friday, March 7

Australian Wrestling Superstars is proudly joining forces with Peak Hill Roosters Rugby League Club to raise funds for Parkes PCYC team to compete in the Nations of Origin tournament during NAIDOC week 2025. Head on down to the Parkes Leagues Club and show your support when the Superstars of AWS put it all on the line in a bone-crunching, body-slamming, high-flying night of live pro wrestling action. Doors open 6.30pm, show starts at 7pm and tickets can be found at https://events.humanitix.com/live-pro-wrestling-parkes-leagues-club-charity-supershow-for-parkes-pcyc. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Parkes PCYC team for Nations of Origin 2025.

TRUNDLE BACK IN TIME

March 15 and 16

This celebration of heritage returns to Trundle with the theme Show Us Ya Tracks. There will be all the regular favourites - the tractor pull, sheaf toss, swap meet, market stalls and kids zone with live music too. 2025 also marks 100 years of John Deere tractors.

COMMUNITY FIBRE ARTS EXHIBITION OPENING

Saturday, March 15

The opening of the Community Fibre Arts Exhibition will be held at 10am to 12pm on Saturday, March 15 in the Coventry Room at the Parkes Shire Library where entry is free. The exhibition will be opened until Saturday, April 12. The exhibition will see art entries including applique, knitting, crochet, felting, sculptural, basketry, creative embroidery, collage, weaving and more. Make sure to check it out.

HOMEGROWN PARKES

It's back for 2025 - Homegrown Parkes is an opportunity for local and regional businesses who are processing, repurposing, sewing, propagating or producing fabulous local products to share their skill and products with the community. Markets, music, crop swap, performances and demonstrations in Cooke Park - it's all homegrown in Parkes and it's a great family day out.

EUGOWRA BOOTS AND BOWTIES BALL

This is a fundraiser ball not to be missed presented by the Eugowra Public School P and C at the Eugowra Showground Pavilion. Think hay bales, festoon lights, warm tones, plenty of seating and the beautiful country night air. Roving canapes by Smoking Brothers Catering and live music from Foxxy Cleopatra - it's going to be spectacular. There will be buses from Forbes, Parkes, Canowindra and Gooloogong. Ticket details to come.
